Digital Camcorders Store

I just bought Cannon’s ZR860 Digital Camcorder, recorded a video on cassette and now want to transfer to my PC. Not sure what am I missing, but I have USB cable connecting from Camcorder to PC and I am trying to use Windows Movie Maker for this editing project. The computer is not detecting the device. I even tried to see live recording, but the video window does not get activated and I cant click ‘Play’ on my screen. Please help me.

I have a Sony MiniDV camcorder with Firewire or USB output. I’d like to stream this video live using a live streaming website such as livestream.com without having to hook up the camera to a computer. In other words, is there an appliance like the Slingbox that can take video from the camcorder, connect to the internet and directly stream it out or stream it through one of the live streaming sites?

I have a camcorder and already used like 40 minutes,only 20 minutes remain. Can I delete footage from the cassette tape so there can be 60 minutes again or do I have to buy another cassette tape?My camcorder model is a Sony DCR-HC21.

I put a pro memory stick in a handycam camcorder for memory and it won’t come out.

I know this is kind of a complex question for everybody, so I hope some of the experts out there can have the time and patience to help me on this.
I need advice to buy a camcorder that will allow me to transfer good quality video into my PC, and then to upload it to You Tube.
My PC doesn’t have any firewire ports; only USB, and it runs on Windows 2000 professional.
According to You Tube, the best format and settings are:
MPEG4 (Divx, Xvid) format
320×240 resolution
MP3 audio
30 frames per second
So I need a USB compatible camcorder with capability to set the settings above.
Do USB camcorders come with software to transfer the video into a file on my computer? If not, what software do I need?
I’d appreciate your suggesting camcorder models that are easy to find anywhere for purchasing.
If USB isn’t the most appropriate interface, then please suggest me any firewire camcorders to do what I need, or any other interface/ports required, to record and upload the best video quality.

I have a samsung sc-d453 ntsc camcorder that has a video recorded on a minidv tape. i plugged the camcorder into the computer with the usb plug provided, but a drive with the video won’t show up. do i need any other software in order to upload from the tape? if i upload from the memory stick, it works fine.

I have a sony handycam camcorder (DCR-DVD305) it uses Mini DV. I looked and I saw that most people suggested using a firewire port however, my camcorder does not have a plug for that. I can upload the videos by putting the disk in my CD drive but when I upload it to youtube the quality is VERY poor. Is there anything I can do? Thanks

My camcorder is a panasonic mini dv and it uses a tape.

I have a Sony Mini DV Digital Handycam. I have a USB cable that connects to my computer that came with the camera, but it will only load pics off the memory stick. I suppose I will need a firewire cable that connects from my camcorder to my PC? I have a firewire port built into my PC so I won’t have to worry about that. My camcorder never came with the software, is there a site where I may be able to download the appropriate software for importing video from cam to pc?

I have a Sony Handycam blahh blah idk.. it has like cassettes and a USB port. Someone from my family wants a clip from a tape onto myspace… I plug in the camcorder… nothing happens. neither the computer nor camcorder know its plugged in… I’m pretty confused. Please help/
